The Operation RedBlock Program at CSX Railroad celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year. In that time, this members-helping-members program has provided life changing assistance for over 48,000 of our brothers and sisters. SMART News sat down with the Operation RedBlock System Coordinator Mike Jackson (Local 1347, New Castle, Pennsylvania), to discuss how RedBlock got started in 1984, and what has made it such a success over the past four decades.
