
In 2013, Angie began her career in the sheet metal industry, eager to learn the trade and develop her skills. Through hard work, determination and a passion for craftsmanship, she quickly advanced in her field, earning the role of foreman in a short amount of time. As a foreman, she took pride in leading teams, ensuring high-quality work and fostering a strong work ethic among her crew.
A decade into her career, in 2023, Angie took on a new challenge by becoming a union organizer. This role allowed her to advocate for fellow tradespeople, strengthen our union and ensure fair working conditions and opportunities for all members. Angie’s commitment to uplifting and supporting her peers led her to take on additional leadership responsibilities, including serving as the chair of the Local 105 Women’s Committee. In this position, she works to empower and support women in the sheet metal trade, helping to create a more inclusive and equitable industry.
In addition to her work as an organizer and committee chair, Angie dedicates time to teaching and mentoring future sheet metal workers. She leads a tutor night program designed to help aspiring members prepare for and pass their apprenticeship tests. By providing guidance and sharing her experience, she strives to give the next generation of sheet metal workers the tools and confidence they need to succeed in the trade.
Angie’s journey in the sheet metal industry has been one of growth, leadership and advocacy. From her early days learning the craft to her current roles as a union organizer, committee chair and mentor, she remains committed to strengthening the trade and supporting her fellow workers. She looks forward to continuing this work and making a lasting impact on the industry and the people within it.
