We have seen the reach of corporate interests increase and the consequences have had a negative influence. Some may think that Trump will help. Some may think the Democrats are the answer. I believe both of those groups are wrong. We will have battles that will decide not only our safety, but the existence of our positions. We will not win those battles if we allow division among ourselves.
OSHA: Strengthen whistleblower protections for Railroaders
"We are here to fight for our members... Railroad workers face harassment, demotion, and even firing for reporting unsafe conditions. This must stop, or it will continue to put both workers and the public at risk," Jared Cassity, SMART-TD Deputy National Director of Safety and Legislative Affairs, remarked in a recent meeting with OSHA and the FRA.

2025 Timebooks Are On the Way
The 2025 SMART-TD timebooks will be shipped to each local’s secretary & treasurer the week of November 25th, arriving in time for distribution before the new year. These timebooks are essential tools for members to document work hours and build strong claims, helping to ensure fair treatment and hold management accountable for violations of our union agreements.
