It is news because one in-four students has become a victim of bullying, according to statistics, with the result that thousands of children awake afraid to go to school \u2013 and too frequently some, tormented beyond their mental capacity to cope, tragically choose to end their lives.<br \/>\nAs most states have anti-bullying laws, and most schools have strict policies to combat bullying, victims of bullying \u2013 or their parents or friends \u2013 should report bullies to school guidance counselors or teachers.<br \/>\nAdditional tips are available at this website:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/kidshealth.org\/parent\/emotions\/behavior\/bullies.html\">http:\/\/kidshealth.org\/parent\/emotions\/behavior\/bullies.html<\/a><br \/>\nFollowing her tragic death, Tori\u2019s friends created a Facebook page, \u201cStop Bullying,\u201d and participated in various high-profile community activities intended to make the problem of bullying better recognized. \u201cTori is going to make a difference in so many people\u2019s lives, I just know it,\u201d said her grandmother, Vicki Swoape.<br \/>\n\u201cThis ordeal is simply heart wrenching and there are no words that we can say to the family that can ease the pain of losing a child or grandchild,\u201d said Strunk. \u201cIf this article can save one child from harming themselves, then we have made a difference.\u201d<br \/>\nAdding to the pain is that Tori\u2019s single mom, Lana, in addition to struggling with the details of this inconsolable tragedy, is straining to pay for Tori\u2019s funeral.<br \/>\nIf you would like to help, contributions may be sent to:<br \/>\nFund for Tori Nakol Swoape<br \/>\nChase Bank<br \/>\n3301 S.
