Guests will pass some of the most interesting sites in the park, such as the Central Park Boathouse overlooking the lake, the Great Lawn, once known as Sheep’s Meadow. We will also visit Bethesda Fountain, and “Strawberry Fields” which is Yoko Ono’s tribute to John Lennon. Central Park is America’s first landscaped urban park and is as beautiful as ever, with so much to see and take in.

We invite our guests to enjoy “An Elegant Night on The Town in New York City” as we transform the Sheraton’s NYC Metropolitan Ballroom into a dazzling chic New York Night Club where everyone is dressed to the T’s. The elegant décor and world class entertainment will be top shelf. The entertainment for this evening will be provided by the eight-piece band called “The Mystic.” The Mystic is one of the best bands in the Tri-State region. They’ve played at our Regional Meetings before, and they also played at the 2011 UTU Convention in Hollywood, Florida. Not only that, but one of the band members is a SMART Transportation Division union member. We guarantee you will love this band. So, bring your dancing shoes and your significant other!
Attire: Ladies, this is your opportunity to show off that new evening gown you’ve been waiting to unveil. Gentlemen, you may want to wear your best suit and tie to take in the sights and sounds on this elegant night on the town in New York City. This is your opportunity to shine and have some fun.
