NO. Only the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) will view the cards.
The cards are required by the OLRB as proof of interest in joining the Union.
The benefits of membership are granted by the OLRB when they are able to confirm that the wishes of the majority of the employees supports becoming SMART Local 562 members.

You’ll also be entitled to union representation on issues- if you choose.

We strive to protect SMART Local 562 members through training, enforcement and contract negotiations to ensure every member’s safety.

Union Sheet Metal Workers
- Receive a higher rate of pay than
non-union Sheet Metal Workers. - Have their wages & benefits
bargained for collectively. - Receive a contract that is fair to
both the Employer and the
Employee. - Are eligible to be “Name Hired”.
- Are protected against wrongful
dismissal. - Are represented for appeals to
WSIB and the Ontario Labour
