SMART Local 83 is currently looking for Skilled Sheet Metal Workers with experience performing the following:
- Architectural Sheet Metal
- Commercial HVAC Duct Work
- Light Commercial HVAC Duct Work
- Shop Fabrication

SMART Local 83 Wages and Benefits
SMART Local 83 sets the area standards in wages and benefits. No matter what your skill level, we have a competitive wage package for you. Our members receive an hourly wage with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and pension all provided at no extra cost to you.
Our Benefits don’t come off your hourly wage, they are in addition to what you make on the check!
Our Apprentice’s start out at $22.71 on the check with $23.83 in benefits for a total package of $46.54.
Our Journeyman earn $40.52 on the check with $37.89 in benefits for a total package of $78.41.
Our Light Commercial Workers earn $30.39 on the check with $29.91 in benefits for a total package of $60.30.
Our Apprentice’s start out at $22.71 on the check with $23.83 in benefits for a total package of $46.54.
Our Journeyman earn $40.52 on the check with $37.89 in benefits for a total package of $78.41.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid State issued ID
- Have dependable transportation
- High School Diploma or GED (For Apprenticeship Applicants Only)
- Pass a pre-hire Drug Screening
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Have the desire to learn and work well with others
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Authorized to work in the United States
