Serving: Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence Counties in Upstate New York
Work Opportunities
We are currently looking for Skilled Sheet Metal Workers with experience performing the following:
- Industrial, Commercial and Residential HVAC Duct Work
- Testing and Balancing
- Architectural Roofing and Wall Panels
- Welders
- Shop Fabrication
- Kitchen Equipment
- Specialty Metal Work

SMART 58 Wages and Benefits
SMART 58 sets the area standards in wages and benefits in each of our 11 counties in Upstate New York. No matter what your skill levels, we have a competitive wage for you. Our members receive an hourly wage with additional benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Annuity and Pension all provided at no extra cost to you
Our Benefits DO NOT come off your hourly wage, they are in addition to what you make on the check!
Our Journey people are currently making $35.25/HR on the check with additional $23.20 in benefits for a total of $58.45/HR
Our Apprentices start out at a specific wage based on skill level and receive significant increases in wages as they go through our program.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid State issued Drivers License
- Have dependable transportation
- High School Diploma or GED (For Apprenticeship Applicants Only)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Have the desire to learn and work well with others
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Authorized to work in the United States
